Dark Blue Centre
The dark blue centre is situated in the industrial zone where many migrant workers come to find work. There are few prospects here for those who have little education of experience. As a consequence, many people are out of work leading to a high crime rate and violence.
The dark blue’s focus is to provide skills training to men and women, in order to improve chances of employment in the area. Children’s programmes provide informal education and after school tuition to keep them progressing through their education. The feeding programme caters to support families nutritional requirements in this time of widespread mal-nutrition.
Women are able to meet as groups to be empowered. To learn skills to start new businesses, to learn how to save and budget money and to learn about health and hygiene.
